Adjustable Weight Bench – Heavy Duty Flat & Incline Bench

Brilliant bench! Really comfortable, made from solid steel and has a good weight to it. Feels rock solid when you're using it. Absolutely spot on! 💪🏻

Really pleased with this bench. It's solid, stable and not too wide, so it doesn't get in the way when you're exercising. Putting it together was fairly quick and straightforward, although fitting the bearings was a bit fiddly on my own. Just bear in mind that you don't get any tools with it, so you'll need 13mm and 17mm spanners or a socket set. The bench itself is comfortable to use, though I wouldn't mind it being another 2 or 3cm higher (I'm 176cm tall). Nothing major though, just takes a bit of getting used to. All the parts were straight, lined up nicely and fitted together without any problems. Overall, a really decent bit of kit.

SUMMARY: This review is for my entire order: TRICEPS BAR, ADJUSTABLE WEIGHT BENCH & INCLINE BENCH

Unfortunately, some products were scuffed out the box, had poor black anodisation/were chipped in areas, drill holes were not even drilled on some parts so forced to drill myself or leave a bolt out and some weld lines were extremely messy - not what youd expect on commercial training equipment. Some parts were too tight to fit so had to be bent or manipulated with my own tools (and whole lot of frustration). Despite being advertised as tricep bars being universal and most plates fitting, only 20% of my steel plates fitted. I have approximately 30 to 40 steel plates. It’s almost like the bar was too thick or the threads were too large for the plates to fit over. I of course checked the size prior to purchase, therefore the universal advertisement is incorrect. Never had this issue buying bars over the years. The overall concept behind some of assembly for the benches was just unneccasirly complicated. No thought went into the build experience of the customer. Instructions were extremely basic, hard to decipher even for the most advanced and barely an A4 page split into two with limited or no text.
DELIVERY: After throwing my parcel down in front of my door (as per my ring doorbell footage) instead of the delivery driver placing it, dark boot footprints were seen all over my box demonstrating they repeatedly trod/walked all over it multiple times. One box was so badly ripped/torn at one end that the product was semi exposed. Despite ordering 3 products via one singular order, K Sports gave me ONE order number & ONE delivery date, let me receive my delivery then marked it as ‘completed’. But I immediately noticed one box was missing. I rang in, K Sports admitted in blasé attutude that this is ‘normal’ & my missing item was coming out on a different delivery and date. Why was I not told of this at payment or dispatch, or an email sent explaining as such? Some of us take time off work or arrange our days to be home to receive deliveries that we believe are ONE part, not two. Marking my order as completed was also, very suspicious.
PROS: Otherwise, delivery time on the first delivery was good, great comms on informing me of when the first parcel was coming. It was well packed and mostly tightly bound together to prevent sliding around inside the box. Alot of protective material in and around the products. Easy website to navigate and order. You do get extra washers, nuts and a couple bolts in the bag, all mixed together - I advise pre sorting for convenience. Material of all 3 appears sturdy, heavy, ok. A months light usage doesnt show any issues other than inital damage out of the box. Of course, unable to use 80% of my plates on the triceps bar.
CONCLUSION: Overall, disappointed. Was there no QC before dispatching items? As being posted with drill holes not being drilled, poor/messy welds, paint chipping off, parts not fitting? Eventually, my products were assembled with some difficulty despite me working within an industry where advanced tool usage is regularly utilised. I’m very unhappy that I paid for new products & was sent items already chipped, paint coming off, some messy welds & parts I had to bend or manipulate myself to fit as they were clearly not straight. For a new product?! Unsure how long they’ll last with daily heavy use if this is how quality control gives as their first impressions. I would advise that more tools would be needed than stated on instructions.
I trusted K Sports to send me a good products for the amount of money that I paid and I did not get it. I was in two minds about sending all back due to the amount of things that were wrong, but the fact that I spent so much time ordering, waiting for delivery, assembly, calling in - was the saving grace. I will not be ordering from K Sports again to be honest. I can’t use majoroty my plates & I feel I have to be careful when using. I’m hoping that constant use of plate removal will wear the bar down so I will be able to fit the rest on over the next upcoming months. I wouldn’t waste your money either. I’m being extremely courteous by not uploading the pictures, but you can thank the fact that my phone is in the shop for that and if customer service would like to see them then they can contact me and I will happily provide.
